The regulations for becoming a chiropractor vary from state to state; however, all 50 states require that you have a formal college education in order to practice as a chiropractor.

You will have to take courses in physics, psychology, biology, organic and inorganic chemistry, and anatomy. You will need to take courses in health and nutrition as well as classes in physiology. You will also need to complete approximately 4,200 hours worth of clinical experience and training. In some cases, a chiropractor may have more training and experience than a regular physician.
